All Tulsa City-County Library locations will be closed Thursday, January 29 for Library Inventory Day.

Due to winter weather conditions all Tulsa City-County Library locations will be closing at 3 p.m. today, Friday, January 23 and will remain closed through Sunday, January 25. Check our website, www.tulsalibrary.org, for up-to-date information about library operations.

Update from our Government Information Librarian:

We are expecting to see some intense winter weather this weekend. It is suggested that by 5 p.m. on Friday, you should be where you plan to stay for the weekend. Everyone will be going for grocery staples.

Here are some other things you can do to prepare:
• Make sure your cars have a full tank of gas.
• Make sure phones and electronics are charged.
• Keep a battery-powered radio ready to go (with fresh batteries).
• Make sure you have enough of your prescription medications.
• Fill jugs, buckets and bathtubs with water for flushing and washing.
• Know where your water shut off valve and breaker box are before the storm starts.
• Freeze some water bottles and have an empty cooler ready to fill with food and put outside if the power goes out for a long time.
• Refresh the batteries in your flashlights
• Make sure you have enough pet food.
• Open your cabinet doors under faucets to warm them up and leave faucets dripping

With temperatures predicted to be dangerously cold over the next few days, please note the following Tulsa area warming stations.
