So cnn exposes a global r*pe academy website that teaches men how to d*ug and ass*ult their wives and partners. 62 million monthly visitors! If I find out that any dude I know personally was on that site, we gonna have a definite misunderstanding when we see each other again. Something I find funny, you dont see any women fighting to be included in selective service (the draft). Its not even allowed!

I just read a question someone asked on a post about someone speaking on the detriment of being mixed with black and white and being told you arent black or black enough...

The question - (slight paraphrasing)
"...Why is the burden of blackness on the black community, why isnt this question directed at the white side considering they are 50% white..."

The issue to me here is, this was a black person saying this. When it comes to being mixed (black and white), our blackness is in question at every turn... BY BLACK PEOPLE! How we dress, what we eat, how we eat, how we speak, how we walk, how we greet, and so on and so forth...

Because I speak with a more proper diction, vernacular, or pattern of talking, I was "talking white"

When I was a kid, I listened to heavy metal and was a skateboader, "why you acting white?"

Or because I didnt sag or because I wasnt wearing a particular brand, or whatever, i was "dressing white".

And this one, "you arent black enough because your mama is white" or "you dont have 2 black parents so you arent black, youre mixed".

And yet... this question was asked by a black person. Like... the whole premis of blackness is determined by black people, at least thats how it has always come across from other black people, i could be wrong though.

"You cant be black unless you have 2 black parents or we say you are."

F**k how we feel, right?

And then there is the "just be who you are" crowd, like... i would have f**king loved to, but Trying to identify with, be around, and relate to other black people didnt allow me to "just be who I am"... but my blackness constantly being in question made that hard. Im black, that im sure of. But im also native, mexican, italian, scottish, irish, and Portuguese. Im all of it, but I have always be percieved by other races (outside of ignorant idiots and Dominicans.. who once they have it in their head that you are Domenican, got damnit, you Dominican) that im black... i.e.
