In my morning reading:

What would happen if we stopped blaming anyone for anything? We would experience miracles of tolerance and grace—rich spiritual rewards, reflected in a life of real fulfillment.

Is this true?

What do u think of this quote?

“The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them.” —Thomas Merton

Drew Houston : How to Build the Future 11/22/2021

“None of us is as smart as all of us.”

I’ve embraced this adage for 35+ years as an entrepreneur.

Getting super clear on direction, making bold moves, taking massive action - these are what successful biz owners do.

Also, am I open to feedback, even if it hurts?

Am I operating as smartly as I can with the amazing people I’m privileged to work with?

Two astronauts orbiting mesmerized as they looked at the earth. One asks the other, “what do you see?” “Why, the earth,” the 2nd astronaut said dismissively. “It’s only half the earth,” the first astronaut wisely responded, “the other half we can’t see from where we are.”

As a successful coaching company, we’ll still be offering one on one but we are adding a Group Coaching element that we believe will dramatically increase our clients’ results and satisfaction.

Why?

We want our clients to have access to ALL of our coaches. AND . . . access to other business owners who have already solved challenges they are currently facing.

A wise man wrote, “A person standing alone can be attached and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”

It’s why billionaire investor Paul Graham told Dropbox founder Drew Houston to find a co-founder before he considered supporting him - watch https://youtu.be/U_g-fBfPOF8.

I’m not saying you HAVE to have a partner in your business (I feel your “ex-partner” pain!); rather, be open to seeking regular and frequent feedback from proven sources.

To your smartness!

An Old Man Does Birthday Pushups Without Stopping - How old is he? 11/15/2021

It’s my birthday.

61 pushups in one pop (an old wrestling habit).

Already 61? Wow. Time to celebrate?

Mixed feelings with me. My beautiful wife Sandy and my above average offspring encourage me to take time to celebrate. “Look at what we’ve experienced!”

My response? “Great - hurray - now, what’s next on the list?!”

It’s like I’m in a race to do all I can until I die. Who has time to celebrate?

Maybe it’s foreboding joy. Who cares? This is not psychoanalysis time. It’s time to celebrate!

The Redmond Growth team gathers daily. We begin with coaching client wins. It’s amazing how many of my clients suffer from the same “it’s-too-busy-and-problems-too-big-to-celebrate” disease. Slow down. Pull your head out. Smell the roses! (Coffee” for my wife.)

I’m in San Diego. About to spend 3 days with one of my heroes doing super important stuff. What’s not to celebrate?

My challenge to you - especially if you are one of my beloved coaching clients . . .

What little thing in your life - especially things that relate to those you love most - is waiting for the impact of you celebrating it?

Celebrating creates positive, can-do energy in your organization. The person doing so also gets better.

Let’s become famous for celebrating!

An Old Man Does Birthday Pushups Without Stopping - How old is he? Tim Redmond has been doing pushups since his wrestling days in high school (which was about 5 days after God invented dirt). How old is he?Tim founded a coac...

103: How to Get More Couple Time with a Workaholic | Laura Doyle 11/09/2021

YOU WILL LOVE THIS! Hear Sandy pull the curtains back and see behind the scenes of our marriage - good, bad and ugly as she talks with her mentor Laura Doyle. Vulnerability time (deep breath 3X).

If he’s not at work, he’s sleeping or working from home. Or he’s too tired from working so much to be much fun. He neglects not just you but also the kids. You feel like a single mom ...

11/06/2021

I read it earlier this week - what do you think of this thought?

“The main source of our unhappiness is that we ourselves don’t know what we want.”

After coaching thousands of business owners, getting clear on what we want is a key stage on our coaching pathway for each client.

Clarity gets blurred by distractions and doubt. Perhaps wondering if we are deserving.

I’m pressing in to get clearer on my wants . . . even those that aren’t other-focused. I invite you to do the same.

What’s amazing about pursuing clear goals (besides enjoying the achievement) is who we become in our pursuit.

Ignite the fire of desire. Then join me in the pursuit!
