This will be a great tool in finding Starlink satellites. As you can tell, the train is flying over Canada tonight. All the green dots are also Starlinks.

Great news on beta information. An official email invite to the Starlink beta.

It's called the Better Than Nothing Beta.

- Estimated speeds 50Mbps to 150Mbps
- Estimated latency 20ms to 40ms
- Some interruptions in connectivity to be expected
- $499 for the phased array antenna and router
- $99 per month subscription

There's no NDA or any disclaimer about public details in the email and ToS, so I'm pretty sure this is safe to share. There's no mention of data caps. We are looking into the best options for customers to purchase the products or having the company purchase them and getting the price back at installation. These prices are not the final prices from Starlink.

Been getting a lot of messages about Starlink. Here are some questions and answers. These could change over time due to the process of only being in Beta.

Question: Any word on the Starlink receiver being Power Over Ethernet (POE) compatible? I'd just like to run a single cable for both power and signal.

Answer: We already know it's PoE and only PoE. There was a leak a while ago, both the dish assembly and the router are PoE, with an injector in-between them. They supply Cat6 with the system and according to the filings it's PoE at 56V.

Question: Have people already started to get to use this? I’m considering buying a plot of land to move into June of next year, but it’s all contingent on having this service available. Would it be reasonable to expect consistent Starlink internet service.

Answer: Only in a closed beta. Emergency response teams, remote Indian tribes, SpaceX employees.

Question: Will starlink terminals be able to be used as repeaters for areas where there is no ground terminal/backbone within direct range?

Answer: It should be technically possible. The terminals are already built for two way sat communication. They only need to have some memory to hold the data (they obviously have buffers for your data and could use them for other people's data, but a bit extra could smooth things) and the ability to either talk to two sats at once or switch quickly between two.

Big move today for Microsoft and Starlink!!

🔵 Microsoft is partnering with SpaceX to connect the Azure cloud computing network to the growing Starlink satellite internet service offered by Elon Musk’s company.

🔵 The partnership comes as Microsoft expands into the space industry, with the company a few weeks ago unveiling a new service called Azure Orbital to connect satellites directly to the cloud.

🔵 Azure Space and the new partnership sets up Microsoft and SpaceX to compete further with Jeff Bezos’ businesses Amazon and Blue Origin, which have announced plans for similar satellite services and more.

Here is a source for anyone that would like to check the coverage of Starlink at launch. They are divided into cells that are 22KM. That information came directly from the VP of Starlink. For Oklahoma at 25 degrees. You will get 99.4% coverage as of launch day. Please stay tuned for more updates!!

Starlink daily coverage estimates I am now providing two different data sets: one that is calculated witha 25 degree minimum user terminal angle and one with a 35 degree minimum user terminal angle. The more recent SpaceX filings show that they are capable of using the 25 degree minimum but that they eventually want to increase that...

Exciting things are happening! Oklahoma Starlink has been in contact with the VP of Starlink Jonathan Hofeller. In order to get Starlink internet service pushed forward, Mr. Hofeller is interested in how many people are wanting to use this service. Mr. Hofeller believes this is a great opportunity for Oklahomans to have more efficient internet, especially for rural areas.
