Backyard views. Most people wait till spring to overseed their yard which is fine the only possible downside is timing the weather, if you seed too late you won’t see any growth until the conditions are favorable so id recommend seeding in the fall to ensure good growth and deep strong roots then by spring that seed will be looking healthy and pretty. 😁🏡⛅️

Field ants are taking over the summer. These species of ants will destroy your lawn in a flash and move on without an ounce of remorse,if you’re seeing mounds like this along with grass thinning out then I’d recommend calling your bug guy. The sooner the treatment the sooner the recovery. 🏡🐜

These orange spores forming are symptoms of a disease called cedar-apple rust, this disease starts slow and isn’t really noticeable until you see the spores forming like you see above.

On apple, the disease first appears on the leaves as small greenish yellow spots which gradually enlarge, changing to orange-yellow and becoming surrounded at the border by concentric red bands. Cedar needles are infected during summer months, and by June the following summer, small greenish brown swellings appear on the upper or inner foliage surface.

Control is most readily accomplished by removing either host from the vicinity of the other or apply a copper based fungicide.

To keep weeds such as henbit, dandelion and crabgrass from taking over your yard it is imperative that you get pre-emergent put down. Without it you will be fighting weeds throughout the rest of the year, the best time to put down pre-emergent is from the start of the year to spring and in the fall. 🏡⛅️
