Lend A Hand Community Action Network Foundation | unhoused community | Tulsa County, OK, USA Lend A Hand Community Action Network Foundation (LendaHandCAN Foundation) serves the Tulsa unhoused community and underserved communities through our distribution of hygiene bags and winter survival backpacks.

Big thanks to Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation for your continued support and generous grant to provide unhoused and underserved communities with dental hygiene items.
Our About That Action Program provides hygiene bags to the unhoused community through street outreach. Inability to maintain personal hygiene is the biggest reported obstacle to unhoused people feeling confident enough to seek out and apply for jobs and services that they may qualify to receive. Each hygiene bag costs $30 to provide and contains everything a person might need to maintain their personal hygiene, regardless of location.
Our Suds for Success Program provides thousands of hygiene products each year to the estimated 3000 unhoused Tulsa Public Schools (TPS) students and the 20,002 economically disadvantaged (at or below poverty level) enrolled TPS students, who, because of hygiene poverty, are more likely to experience bullying, social isolation and chronic absenteeism. Lendahandcan Foundation is ready to ensure our unhoused neighbors stay warm and alive during the upcoming winter storm. We have our street outreach team van stocked with winter survival backpacks, bags and we're ready to assist as part of our I See You Program! Our program specializes in helping those unhoused, who, for whatever reason cannot access other means of shelter during winter inclement weather. Whether outside due to a pet, personal preference, or proximity, Lenda Hand CanFoundation is always & to serve!

Our Generosity Recipient for January is Hand CanFoundation. LendAHandCAN Foundation is a Tulsa-based nonprofit providing essential hygiene supplies to unhoused individuals, at-risk students, and seniors across Tulsa County. Founded in 2021, the organization works to restore dignity through compassionate, practical support.

Lendahandcan Foundation at the Stored Goodness Holiday Toy Giveaway, where we provided over 400 hygiene kits to underserved families!

Lendahandcan Foundation is partnering with Growing Together to provide 5 Tulsa Public Schools with hygiene items for their students as part of our Suds for Success Program. Today, we were able to deliver 3,016 Delta Dental of Oklahoma Foundation dental hygiene kits for every student at Eugene Fields Elementary, Kendall Whittier Elementary, Sequoyah Elementary, Roger's Middle School and Roger's High School to receive as part of our partnership and sponsorship! All of these schools are also receiving refillable hygiene bags filled with personal hygiene items to be distributed to their students, as needed. Together, we hope to make a positive impact on these students educational experience, attendance, test scores and classroom engagement and provide the resources they need to succeed! The majority of enrolled TPS students are considered economically disadvantaged and hygiene poverty can often cause bullying and social isolation in addition to chronic absenteeism.
