For all of my tennis parents out there. Make sure you are building well rounded athlete vs solely doing tennis lessons. Make sure your kid can squat, lunge, plank correctly to ensure they have a solid foundation to be able to allow the impact tennis creates on your body!

As I see more kids come through my office, I totally believe this statement. Kids do not need to be playing the same sport all year round. Let's make sure our kids are becoming well rounded athletes vs specializing in 1 sport at a young age.

Man have I missed being on a tennis court!
Many practitioners do not realize the pure joy most tennis players get with this sport. So when a doctor tells you to simply stop playing tennis for 6+ weeks, how much this can impact your life. Not only do we miss the endorphins we get from that winning down the line shot, but we also miss our social circle. We miss getting to see the people that we only see on the court. That is why I am so passionate about treating my fellow tennis players so you can keep playing the sport you LOVE.
I have been unable to play tennis for the past 6 weeks due to gallbladder complications and overall health. To say that I missed tennis would be an understatement. The tennis court is my home. It is the one place I can go that I don't worry about the other stressor in my life. It is the one place I feel the most confident about my skills with my racquet. It is also the one place I feel the most comfortable, because I know tennis people are my type of people. Today I was able to return to the court and play my first match back. I was so thankful that my body was able to meet the demands of tennis and I played better than expected. What was even better was seeing all of my tennis friends, knowing they were such as happy to have me back as I was to be there. I really don't think there is a better community than the Tulsa tennis community.
I hope this resonates with many of you. Next time you aren't having a great tennis day just know that any day spent on a tennis court is better than a day that you can't play tennis.

We have to be honest: we have a love-hate relationship with beginner tennis drills
They are a great way to meet other tennis players with your skill level and offer a lower price point for tennis coaching, but are you putting too much pressure on yourself to hit the perfect shot to keep the rally going?
Here is what we love about it:

๐ learn tips from the tennis coaches
But on the other hand, itโs also really easy to put way too much pressure on yourself. You want to keep the rally going and can find yourself tightening your grip and arming the ball over vs practice your full ground strokes. We try to mix it up and take private lessons, hit with a friend for fun, or even rent a ball machine so we can swing freely and enjoy the game of tennis without all the pressure.

We love answering your tennis equipment questions!
I love the Road To Pro socks because of the grips at the bottom ( no more slamming your toe into your shoe), compression in the arch and Achilles (helps reduce risk for plantar fascitis), and the moisture wicking capability.
