Your A/C isn't lazy. It's just fighting a losing battle against the Oklahoma sun. ☀️🥵
A few lesser-known ways to help your system survive extreme heat:
💨 Turn your bathroom exhaust fans off when you're not using them. They pull cool air out of your house.
🌡️ Raise your thermostat 1-2 degrees when you're away instead of turning the system way down when you get home. Your A/C cools at the same speed either way.
🍳 Avoid heat-producing appliances from 2–7 PM. Ovens, dryers, and even dishwashers can add surprising amounts of heat to your home.
🚪 Keep interior doors open. Closed doors can restrict airflow and make certain rooms much harder to cool.
🌞 If a room gets blasted by afternoon sun, keep the blinds closed before it gets hot—not after.
🧹 Check that furniture, curtains, and rugs aren't blocking return vents. Restricted airflow is one of the most common causes of poor cooling.
🌿 Keep at least 2 feet of clearance around your outdoor unit. Overgrown landscaping can trap heat and reduce efficiency.
💧 If your home feels sticky, don't automatically lower the thermostat. High humidity can make 75° feel hotter than 78° with proper humidity control.
And the biggest one...
❄️ Your A/C is designed to cool your home about 15–20 degrees from the outdoor temperature. If it's 105° outside, expecting 65° inside is asking your system to perform miracles.

What truly makes Shawn special, though, isn't just his expertise. It's the way he serves people. He takes the time to listen, explain, and help customers make informed decisions with confidence. His commitment to honesty, integrity, and treating people right reflects everything we strive to be as a company.
When he's not helping families stay comfortable, you'll find him spending time with his wife, six children, and six granddaughters, enjoying the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and investing in his community and faith.
