Whoa….. we didn’t mean to upset you…..



We have received some very upset phone calls, emails and DMs this week, regarding our Rhubarb Pie ordering system.

So I think we need some further explanation so you know where we are coming from, and why we want you to get this pie, as badly as we want to make it for you!!

First off, here are a few facts about Rhubarb that are out of our control.

1. Rhubarb does not grow well in Oklahoma.
2. The season in which we can get it in stores is VERY short, and can stop at any time.
3. The price per pound varies so vastly from supplier to supplier, and store to store.

So because of all these constraints, plus the high demand from you guys, we decided to only allow this flavor to be sold on one day of the week (Saturdays), and it would all be first come first served, to make it completely fair for all who wanted it.

We have received calls all week from people wanting to place special orders, and we have had to turn them down…..

When we called to place our Rhubarb order, we were told by both suppliers that they would “Call us if it ever arrived, but not to expect it till next week.”

‼️So when we turn down your order, it’s not because we are sticking to a crazy rule we have come up with, it’s because we actually do not have ANY Rhubarb to make your pie with.‼️

Since our suppliers are out, I have now scoured the stores for all I could find, so we can bring you pie this weekend.

But that presents another problem.
Last week the price I paid was $3.99 a pound, this week was $8.99😳
Which is why this flavor is priced higher than all our other slices.

All this being said,
we WILL have Rhubarb pie this Saturday!

The menu will be posted on our socials, and also texted out to our loyalty members on Saturday morning.

It will be first come, first served again, and we cannot take phone orders or holds.
In-person purchases only.



✨If you’ve scrolled this far, thank you for hearing us out, and for allowing us to give you facts, about this “problem” we are having.

So while we may have a short and expensive window in which we can enjoy this pie, we think all this fuss is
worth it!!
It’s just that tasty!!

✨Rhubarb Saturdays✨

Yep… you read that right!!

Common Tart will now have Rhubarb Pie every Saturday till the rhubarb season is over!

The season for rhubarb is short and persnickety. So to make sure that MORE of you get to enjoy this season, we have some guidelines.

Here’s how it till work:

• Rhubarb will ONLY be available on Saturdays.
• Weekly flavors will vary depending on what we can source.
• All pies will be first come first served.
• No pre-orders, no holds, no phone orders.
• In-person purchases only.

We know this sounds a little intense… But rhubarb season is so short, unpredictable and can disappear without warning. These guidelines help us keep things fair, keep the line moving, reduce waste, and stretch the season as long as possible.

Each Saturday morning we will post the menu for the day. We will have a mix of whole pies, bars, crips, pavlovas, and slices.

This Saturday’s menu is loaded full of amazing treats, but let us know in the comments below which pies and treats you’re hoping will make it onto the rhubarb menu in the coming weeks✨

Many hands have been involved in the making of/growth of this little pie shop. But none have been more involved, and crucial than those of my mom, Sherrie.
If you admire the cozy decor, it was designed and curated by her. If you are obsessed with our crust, then you need to know that she won the fight with me on whether or not we should make the crust, by hand, one at a time, to ensure that it was the flakiest crust EVER produced (which is still how we make it, 5 years later). The way we wrap our to-go boxes with the ribbon and a little flower, the intense passion for making and keeping our recipes the best they can be, and being a stickler for wanting customers to feel like friends. It is all her.

While she may not be in the shop on a daily basis anymore (homeschooling my younger siblings is her top priority!), she is still everywhere.

I say this all the time - “My mom was put on the earth to be a mother.”
She is the best one I could have ever asked for, and the one I can never deserve.
