Three Point Legacy

This is my beautiful family. My wife, son, and two babies on the way!🙌🏽 Taryn stays home with our kiddo (soon to be kiddos), and I get the pleasure to help support our lives. I would do anything for them, and I always want to make sure that they’re taken care of.

I’ve started to notice something that’s happening in the world around me that truly breaks my heart, and I want to talk about that with you all…

I’m sure you know someone personally or have seen someone posting about a “go fund me” page. Either someone is sick and doesn’t have the money to cover medical expenses, or someone has passed away, leaving their family without any financial support. Now don’t get me wrong, go fund me is a great tool to help people in great need. But I think it’s safe to say that one wants to leave their financial lives in the hands of hundreds of possible donors. THIS is where I want to help people the most.

*Living Benefits*

This is something that very few people know about, because very few companies offer it. It’s a fairly new concept (came out in the mid ‘90s), but one that I promise will change your lives. I’ve seen the impact that it can make on a family. Living benefits is very simple. You pay a small monthly fee (usually between $25-$50 a month) and receive these benefits:
1. Gives you access to a large pile of money in case of critical illness (i.e. cancer, heart attack, stroke, and many others)
2. Gives you access to a larger pile of money in case you become terminally ill (24 months or less to live).
3. Gives you access to money on a monthly basis if you are not able to perform regular daily activities for longer than 90 days
4. Gives your family access to a massive amount of money if you pass away

Comfort is a dangerous thing...

On the surface it seems amazing. I feel at peace when I’m comfortable, life is easy, everything is great. Well, maybe in the short term. The longer I stay comfortable, the more difficult it becomes to move forward with my goals.

For instance, I’ve become very comfortable with my eating habits. I love the food I eat, I love to drink soda, and when I’m hungry it’s so much easier to just go grab some Raising Cane’s, than to make a healthy dinner. Well in August I’m going to hike a fourteener in Colorado, and I could really benefit from losing a few pounds. I’m having a hard time giving up those habits that I’ve become “comfortable” with.

I’ve been a fan of for a long time. They make some amazing content that’s really fun to keep up with. But to be honest, their slogan has proved more meaningful to me than anything else they do. SEEK DISCOMFORT. So many times in our lives, comfort will keep us from our dreams. It will keep us from moving forward. I was comfortable in my corporate accounting job, and it took layoffs to get me off my butt and seek out my dreams. Starting my own financial education business with a baby at home was probably the most uncomfortable thing I could possibly do. But you know what? It’s working! I’ve never been so happy in my whole life.

I want to encourage you to step out of your comfort zone, and go after your goals. Force yourself to get uncomfortable, because only then can you move forward.

This weekend, I was given an opportunity to speak to over 200 people in Denver, CO. I’m beyond thankful for all of the opportunities that I’ve been given, and am so excited for all of the things down the road. So much potential that I haven’t even been able to tap into quite yet. So pumped to constantly be learning how to better serve you all!
