When parents ask what we teach at Creative Beginnings, of course we teach letters, numbers, colors, and early literacy skills.
But honestly, that’s not what matters most.
The skills that will serve children for the rest of their lives are things like:
✔️ Solving problems when something doesn’t work
✔️ Communicating their thoughts and feelings
✔️ Working through frustration
✔️ Thinking creatively
✔️ Building friendships
✔️ Asking questions
✔️ Taking healthy risks
✔️ Learning how to learn
Child development expert Ellen Galinsky calls these the Essential Life Skills, and they’re woven into everything we do.
When children build a tower that keeps falling…
When they negotiate over a toy…
When they ask “why?” for the hundredth time…
When they create something from their imagination…
They’re developing skills that go far beyond preschool.
At Creative Beginnings Learning Center, we believe childhood isn’t a race.
It’s a time to build strong roots for a lifetime of learning.
We are now enrolling for fall.

“Look Angelique, a for apple.”
One thing about 3 year olds… they are capable of so much more than we sometimes expect. ❤️
After being reminded to clean up, he carefully put each block back where it belonged all on his own. That may look simple, but moments like this build independence, responsibility, problem solving, memory skills, and confidence.
Young children thrive when we give them routines, guidance, and the chance to do things for themselves instead of always doing it for them. Little moments like these matter big.

Through fundraising and donations, we have our new outdoor learning center. So grateful for the parents in our little school community.
