Had a pretty good night with both cars unfortunately the sprintcar came to an end around 5 laps in while running 5th.

Another disappointing end to the Aussie Speedcar Title.

After finishing 5th and 2nd in my heats on the final night, I lined up P10 for the A-Main. I got to third fairly quickly, then moved into second around the halfway mark.

I managed to hit the front with 10 to go, but unfortunately turned it over by myself while pushing right on the limit.

Super devastating to have it end the way it did, but I knew how fast Kaidon had been all weekend and knew I couldn’t afford to let up.

Thanks to Paul, Dad, Darcy, Craig, and Fraggle for all their help during the weekend, especially with how below average we were at the start.

Congrats to Kaidon and the Brown family on another Aussie Title win.definitely the benchmark all weekend.

Hopefully we can put a whole 40 laps together next year.

Ran 2nd in the Even Prelim tonight!

Struggled in hot laps and the 1st heat battling brake dramas, got it all sorted by the 2nd heat.

Threw a fair bit at the car for the feature and found our feet. Definitely got to get a little bit better for tomorrow.

CHILI BOWL 2026

That wraps up another year at the Chili Bowl.

Ticked off some major boxes this trip, winning a heat, finishing top 2 in the qualifier and locking straight into a prelim A-Main. Whilst we didn’t make the progress we were aiming for in the Prelim A or Saturday’s C-Main, still thrilled with the experience, and grateful for an awesome car all week.

Massive thank you to Derek and Mark at Spike Chassis for making this possible. To Jason, Jeff, Brian and Anthony for swinging the spanners, super grateful to have such a good team of people around the car all week. The Spike family has been so welcoming to us and it’s been great to have been a part of it again this year.

DRILLER DAY AT THE BOWL

It’s Championship Saturday here at the 40th Annual Chili Bowl Nationals!

After a heat win, a 2nd in our qualifier, and a 14th place finish in our preliminary A-Main on Wednesday, the Spike Chassis 7AU will start C-Main 1 out of P14.

Top 5 cars transfer through from each 15-lap C-Main into the B-Mains, then 7 from the B’s to the back of the 55-lap A-Main. Plenty of work to do, we’ll see what happens.

The tentative run sheet has C-Mains scheduled for 7:40pm local time, or 11:45am AEST, but stay tuned to the page for updates through the day. Be sure to tune in and FloRacing.

Hot laps from 8am AEST, with heat racing from 9am AEST.
