We had a great time stopping by Decopolis and taking in all the fun surprises at their Discovortorium. It’s more of an experience than a store.

Another local business we recently visited.. Blair Hollow Candle Co. on 11th and Peoria. Toni picked up a candle as a surprise gift. In talking with the owner, they are already gearing up for their favorite holiday, Halloween, as well as Christmas. Go check them out!

We love supporting local organizations while finding special touches for our events! Toni recently stopped by The Market at Pearl Thrift Shop and picked up some beautiful glass bowls for table arrangements.

Even better, she got to know Linda and Joelle and learned more about the shop, which benefits Children's Medical Charities. They have a great selection of furniture, home accessories, clothing and more, all at very reasonable prices. Go check them out!

It’s national Cheesecake Day! Mr. Jim has actually requested a date nite so he can get a piece. Where’s your favorite place to go for cheesecake? The next question is… Will he call and ask for me to just pick it up on the way home instead of us going out???? 🤦🏼‍♀️😊

Update: Mr. Jim actually picked me up and we did go to dinner. As he gets older, it’s difficult to get him to follow through on his date night requests so this was a pleasant surprise!

The kittens are now five weeks old. I try to have them out away from Momma for a little bit every day. They are right at one pound apiece and are starting to enjoy naps on me. Did I mention…. They have been using their litter box since momma dragged them out of the tub! Usually the bathroom floor is covered with puppy pads. Not this time. As of today, they are both eating solid foods. They also went straight to that. No watered down stuff. These are by far, the easiest foster kittens and momma I’ve ever had!
