Anyone that has been following along for a while knows that I love foraging. My studio is full of collected nature finds waiting to be used and always inspiring for future art projects. My latest curiosity has been rocks. I have loved working with slate and will continue to use it, but right now my curiosity for this reddish toned rock has caught my attention. I’m excited to break apart some of this rock and play around with new colors and compositions.

I’m waiting patiently/impatiently for the custom steel frame to get finished for my slate mosaic. My love said we should be able to install it this evening. My oldest son has been attending welding tech school this year, so it’s extra special to be able to include him in this art project. I love my family and it makes me so happy to be able to work together on projects!

Spontaneous day trip with my mom to Arkansas, beautiful fall colors, finding inspiration through nature, nighttime walks, and lunch breaks on the hammock. Trying to soak up the beautiful weather before the cold settles in.
