HOW TO PREPARE LIPS FOR LIP BLUSHING

Proper preparation helps ensure better retention, smoother healing, and more even color results. Here’s what you should do:

- Stay hydrated in the days leading up to your appointment
- Gently exfoliate your lips 1–2 days before (a sugar scrub or damp washcloth works well)
- Keep lips moisturized daily with a nourishing balm (aquaphor or a+d will work)
- Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and blood thinners 24 hours before your appointment
- If you’re prone to cold sores, take antiviral medication as prescribed by your doctor (valtrex)

Healthy, smooth lips give the best canvas for pigment. Your healed results start with good pre-care!

As you can see this client had very full lips but no shape at all. Her lip skin was very hard to decipher from her face skin due to fillers over time stretching out the natural pigment in the skin.
