Yesterday the team headed out before the next storm. As the week went on we closely watched the storm path and prayed for travel mercies and a break in the weather so our team could get off island. With only a few hours of sleep, a quick nap and only a little delay the team was able to get over to Oahu and catch their flight for the mainland! Thanks for following along and praying along side us as we continued to spread the love of Christ with all we encountered!

Our last devotion came with a challenge. And one with how do we take home what we learned in the field and how do we actually apply it? This is one that is easy to talk through but when applying it after the mission field high wears off can be harder to complete. And as an organization we have created bracelets as a reminder of always looking for ‘God Sightings’.
Our last night also included praying over a sweet 16 year old who had just gone through her 7th brain surgery! We believe that prayer is a powerful thing. So as you think about God sightings please partner with us in prayer for her recovery and pan management of m the process.
After devos our team enjoyed a few more minutes of playing volleyball together.

Our last night entailed with cleaning up around the church property, eating a meal at Molokai Burger and heading down the back alley way to get the island famous hot bread! What a great way to spend our last night together.

After working as a team we had some free time to cruise around town, take a drive up the west coast end of the island and ended it with making a stop at the beach. The water was still dirty from previous storms and the waves were way to large to get in but it was nice to have the sand under foot and to hear the thunder of the waves from the parking lot.

On our last day working we got to come back and finish it off all together. As one of the kids mentioned they started off and ended the week moving gravel and how they felt the full circle moment as they reflected on the week.
As the week has ended and we finish posting we remain thankful for what the Lord provides and how He opens doors for our teams. Knowing down to the smallest detail what is planned for us! Enjoy a great before and after of the space we helped finish. You might even recognize this space from where one of our February teams laid gravel as well. With having so many hands involved the church Eve ordered another load to make sure the project with finished well.
While some of the girls were waiting for everyone to finish their ice cream it started to rain and they took the moment to dance in the rain! So many times we take lift too seriously and don’t take moments to dance in the midst of the storm!

As the slowly came to an end we have created such a fun little Ohana out of our team and a few of the locals! In our evening devotions we started having a few locals join in on our discussions and finished off with our ‘God Sightings’!
For those who have been with us before where did you see God today?

After we were done with roping in our separate areas we came back together to enjoy yet another round of ice cream. As you can tell from the continuation of pictures as they came out with ice cream they all just congregated together as one team. All week this crew wanted to just be together as one.

The second group went to help another single mom’s house to remove 9 truck and trailer loads that got taken to the dump! It’s was a large work project but very proud of our team!

Day 5 we split into 2 teams- the first one went to help an uncle with yard work! We played adult Easter egg hunt in the tall grass before we could w**d whack the yard. We also helped uncle prepare for the next storm by placing a tarp on the roof. Thankful to contribute to lots of people in the community.

Hawaiian fried rice is a staple menu item for any site we are at. But it just hits different when in Hawaii. This was a great crew to help make it!
