I do a lot of small projects, and they rarely get photographed. So it was a pleasant surprise when a recent client sent me this image of our completed work. A jewel box bath renovation in a home originally designed by Edwin Lundie

Fun to see this faucet almost ten years after I specified it. One of the only times so far where I was able to use “living brass,” which has no protective coating, allowing it to develop this beautiful sort of patina.

Phase one is moving along nicely over at the Fremont Avenue project. Mostly restoration work. Phase two starts on Monday, featuring an addition off the back of the house that will be an exercise room below an outdoor dining space. Some tricky masonry and waterproofing details involved, but thankfully I have complete confidence in the Team

Yesterday was a beautiful one for some site visits here in the Twin Cities, including this whole house refresh in Edina, which is about half done now

New project start today. Beautiful old home right in the heart of Saint Anthony Park. Phase one will be finishing off the raw attic space as a little guest suite. Great location, great bones and great clients!

All the good stuff going on behind the finishes that make a space come to life in the end. Cabinet makers and plumbers working through the details for a new soaking tub down by the Stone Arch Bridge. The condo floor is post tensioned concrete, so the tub will sit up on an elevated stone base, allowing the drain and water feeds to steer clear of disturbing that system. Besides, what says luxury quite like bathing on a raised pedestal?

Process shot in all its messy glory, from the posh full second floor bedroom suite in South Minneaoplis. Millwork and railings wrap up in the next week. Then painting and punch list. The Oasis should be complete by mid June!
