Congratulations to Colin Lin Nossek, who wrote one of the premieres we got to show off at the 2024 International Double Reed Society convention this past summer! ❤️

Join us in welcoming True Concord's new Artistic Coordinator, Colin Nossek! Colin is an accomplished composer and clarinetist. Colin is a UA President's Competition winner and his music has been performed and recorded by local musicians such as the Tucson Duo Project and Arizona Wind Quintet. We're excited to have Colin's talents as part of True Concord.

We wish Mike Scionti well in his new role at the University of Arizona.

It was such a pleasure to share new piece for flute, contrabassoon, and piano “A New Perspective of the Sun” at the National Flute Association convention yesterday. A HUGE thank you to Becky Turro for writing this piece for us, it was an honor to premiere this work! IDRS and NFA are in the books!

In just TWO WEEKS, we finally get to share TWO NEW PIECES with the world!! Put us down in your
conference schedule for 11AM on DAY 1, July 21 at 5he Kitt Recital Hall in Flagstaff, AZ!

Becky Turro's phenomenal "A New Perspective of the Sun" was written just for us and chronicles the composer's move to and experience of the blazing heat and beauty that is the Arizona desert. And Colin Nossek's "Procession of the Nameless Queen" waited all the way through the trials of the pandemic to finally get this moment in the light. The recital will also feature Tim Jansa's sublime "Three Miniatures" for flute, bassoon, and piano.

Excited to share, wishing it was here already, can't wait to play these together for all of you!

Finally got to meet and play for the delightful , whose piece we'll be premiering this summer at in Flagstaff, AZ! A little spooky and dreamy with some really great twists and lots of drama, I doubt you've ever heard a flute, contrabassoon, and piano piece like this. We're loving it, even more now that we've had some real time with the composer.
