Anyway! Review time for anime az spring!!
Was the new location - date - and split con good bad meh?
It was meh.
Not better that’s for sure. I made half of what I made last year at the Glendale hotel. So not happy there. ESP when it was my best con to date then. Making half puts it at every other normal event for me. Which isn’t good. ESP since it ate 3 days of my weekend for set up and sales when I could have worked.
Sunday was dead. I think Mother’s Day was a bad call on their part for being set on that weekend. Cuz the crowds died off. Many packed up halfway through the day. I packed up around 4:00 as did many others. As all I got were stranglers and no more customers.
The split vendor and artist halls and the long hallway between didn’t help for people to find us.
Ac was also cranked up. It was colldddd. I have no idea why their ac was blasting.
Plus side they gave us 8 foot tables and huge space behind our tables. Wayyyy too much space that’s for sure.
I’d give anime as spring a 3/5.
It was fine at the hotel in Glendale. Going back to Mesa con center is just a weird call and splitting the hall was a bad call. Dates were horrid too as Mother’s Day showed people did not want to come.

Uh. I guess no early entry today? Hoping it’s an ok sales day. What with it being Mother’s Day and all.

I drew the TADC crews dnd outfits from their one shot they did a while back. Trust me go watch it. It was great.

New badge ribbons for upcoming events! I love resident evil and had to make something silly for it. Since everyone loves Leon and some love not Wesker.
Very small stock of them as I don’t have a lot of funds at moment. Again at all future events while supplies last!

Review time - uwu con 2024
It wasn’t bad but eh?
I split costs so my profits were a tad higher. Still. Not crazy amazing for a con this size and this much effort. Plus the arena they picked. God. So dusty. It was gross. Not to mention the food poisoning, half the staff being let go due to “issues”.. a few pigeons flying around pooping on tables.
Yeah.
I’d do it again IF they change venues. I cannot stand this rodeo arena esp with my table clothes being filthy along with my displays now.
