In fact my reaction to the acceptance email was so bonkers it made my kid exclaim YOU GOT TICKETS TO ANTIQUES ROADSHOW?!?!
(Still waiting to hear from PBS about those Roadshow tickets 🙏🏽)
The Arizona Biennial will be on view May 22 through September 27, 2026, in the James J. and Louise R. Glasser and Earl Kai Chann Galleries and showcases contemporary artists from across Arizona, highlighting diverse voices and practices shaping the region today.

When a friend asked me if I wanted these moss covered styrofoam mounds she was going to jettison I of course said YES! So before I chopped them up to reincarnate them into sculptures I figured why not use them to turn ME into a MOUND.

and it was so satisfying to finally have a use for the dried rose bud necklaces I made during the pandemic 🥀

I love this place because the Tucson community response to my art is always wonderful.

And, hold your horses, we have planned a celebratory Happy Hour with signature drinks on Saturday, April 4, 5-7pm! It’s gunna be fun and is the same evening as the First Saturday Art Walk in the Barrio Viejo, .
So stop by 5 Points FIRST enjoy dinner and drinks THEN mill about the streets of the Barrio Viejo visiting all the galleries.

The exhibition is on display in the Friends Gallery until May 31 so you have plenty of time to go see the show while enjoying the gardens.

For this blue look I painted the backdrop especially for this photo session…and we went for kinda of a southern gothic Slavic vibe.
