How is your little learning to decode letters?
Did you know:
From age 2–3 (Early Awareness): Children begin to recognize some letters, often starting with the letters in their own name, and may begin to connect specific letters to their sounds.
From Age 3–4 (Emerging Decoding): Children show greater interest in letters and signs, with about 20% able to recognize a few letters. They may start blending sounds (like "c-a-t") if explicitly introduced to letter sounds, though this is not expected yet.
