Tucson Prostate Cancer Support

Share

For over twenty years we have provided support for men with prostate cancer and their loved ones.

Join us at our twice monthly (usually once in the summer) meetings to discuss issues and exchange information. Note: Please always discuss your health issues with a medical professional.

02/15/2026

Starting in March, our prostate cancer support group will only meet ONCE each month. Our meetings will be only on the FIRST TUESDAY OF EACH MONTH, on-line and in-person.

If you are interested in joining this group, please reach out to our social worker at Banner, Jennifer White, [email protected], 520-694-1208, and ask to have your name on the mailing list for Tucson Prostate Cancer Support meetings. Wives and partners are welcome to attend. The meetings are "hybrid," that is, both in-person and on-line using Microsoft Teams. Thanks for your interest in this group.

NOTE: The Prostate Cancer Support Group will NOT MEET on July 15th or on August 5th.
Regular meetings will resume on August 19, 2025

ATTENTION! On Tuesday, May 6th, our meeting will be ON-LINE ONLY. Our room is being used for other purposes, so we can only meet on-line using Microsoft Teams. Our in-person meetings will pick up again on May 20th.

Room changed for today

Update from Steve:

Hi everyone, we've got a ROOM! We'll meet today at 2pm in room 2114, in Building 1.

When you come into the cancer center, look to your right. There is a staircase there. Go up the stairs. Room 2114 is two doors to your right from the top of the stairs. It's on the left side of the hall. SEE YOU THERE!

If using the elevator, once off the elevator on the second floor, walk down the long hallway. Room 2114 is at the far end, on the left side.

09/02/2024

Note: On September 17th, our meeting will be ONLY ON-LINE. The conference room we use for our in-person meetings is not available on Sept. 17th. The 9/17/24 meeting is on-line only.

A reminder from Steve:

Hi Friends in the Prostate Cancer Support Group,

We'll have to skip our June 18th support group meeting. I hope you have a good month, and we'll meet again on Tuesday, July 2nd. I'll send out a meeting notice about it.

A note from Steve about upcoming meetings.

Hi everyone in the prostate cancer support group.

On June 4th, our guest speaker will be Banner nutritionist, Michelle Bratton. Her topic will be, “7 food myths dietitians wish people would stop believing”. Sounds like fun!

Michelle also wants to cover any other topics or concerns you might like her to talk about, so please email me and I'll forward them to her.

By the way, our next meeting is this coming Tuesday, May 21st . I'll be sending out a reminder with the Teams link and directions to the in-person meeting next week. And, we'll have to cancel our June 18th meeting since I'll be away on meditation retreat and there is no one available to facilitate.
