We're an education center, not a traditional bike shop. We are a warehouse, mostly full of used bikes and bike parts. Thanks!

Through advocacy and recycling of the bicycle, the BICAS mission is to promote education, art, and a healthy environment while providing service and opportunity for those in need. We do also have some new parts available (tires, tubes, etc). We also offer our "Community Tools" service, where a trained mechanic can teach you step-by-step how to repair your bike. ✨Members are such an important part of the BICAS community! Monthly contributions help support all the great work BICAS does in the community. From increasing youth and adult scholarships for mechanics courses and camps to offering free craft sessions, memberships ensure community members can access resources at little or no cost. Being a BICAS member means you’re a community advocate and a key supporter helping us thrive.

It’s that time again — and if you’re planning for a harder ride this year, training season is rolling in for 💖 Distances range from a family fun ride of 1 mile to an impressive 102 miles. When you ride with Team BICAS this NOVEMBER 21st, you can raise money for our community-driven programs (while receiving nonprofit rider benefits!). El Tour is a bicycling event for families, for professional cyclists, and for everyone else who loves cycling, running, or walking in Tucson! (Yes, there is a 5K run/walk!) Kids under 18 will ride price-free with a riding parent. Nonprofit riders receive discounts on merch, and early registration to El Tour Expo! Flats! Chains! Brake and gear adjustments! Get to know your own bike in a general, supportive class space; or in an empowering all-WTF space under the guidance of experienced instructors in our Basic Maintenance on SUNDAY, JUNE 21st, 3 PM to 6 PM; or our WTF Basic Maintenance Class on MONDAY, JUNE 29th, 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM! These classes are $36, for adults and teens 14+! And for teens 13-17, don’t forget: registration for Youth Earn-a-Bike is still open for JUNE 8th to 12th (sessions for ages 8-12 are in July!) Our Summer Closure will begin on Monday, June 8th, and end on Friday, June 19th, when we will remain closed for Juneteenth! BICAS will be CLOSED. Our regular shop hours are Thursday to Sunday, 11 AM to 6 PM. Our Women/Trans/Femme Workshop is on Mondays. We’ll continue to see you there and in ALL of our regular programs before (and after!) the summer closure (we’ll be at 💖). See you around!

Youth drop-in is tomorrow and every other Friday (check our calendar for dates), from 3 PM to 5 PM! Learn mechanics, have fun, and connect with peers (ages 9-18) in a supportive space! Youth are invited to drop-in to engage in bike repair, do community service, and learn about bikes! Youth can also work on bikes and earn credit for bike parts or a bike from the shop. 🔧💗
