Dear friends and industry family,

We are excited to announce leadership opportunities with USBG Tucson! ALL Board and Council positions are open. Join us for a drink and a snack at Jackrabbit Lounge, Wednesday June 29th at 7:30pm to learn more and celebrate our chapter.

Working volunteer positions as your chapter board and council has been both a privilege and a humbling experience, and we’re lucky that we’ve managed growth in these difficult months. These past couple years have not been easy for any of us. To put it bluntly, we are tired.

We’ve come to the conclusion that we can no longer serve the community the way it deserves, and we would like to put out a call for volunteers to fill all council and board positions in the coming months. Rather than dissolving our chapter that so many have worked so hard for for the past decade, we’d like to see it move into new hands. If you’ve had ideas about the way things could be better, if you’ve got a stash of event themes in your back pocket, if you’ve got a little spare time and energy to put toward growing our community into something even more vibrant, diverse, inclusive, and exciting, this is an opportunity for you.

Tucson deserves the spotlight and opportunity a national organization will offer. You’ll need to put in time to train and learn how the back end of the USBG functions, and get to know your regional and national counterparts. Running this chapter is dedicated work, but it’s also rewarding work when everyone involved does their part. Positions are as follows:

Our friends at The Jackrabbit Lounge will be hosting a Bartender’s Breakfast on January 1st for all you service industry folks. Stop by and treat yourselves to some well deserved food and drinks after working New Years Eve. 🥂✨

Tucson, our friend Katerina Quinn was in a terrible accident this past weekend. Starting this week, The Jackrabbit Lounge will be hosting spaghetti dinner on Wednesdays with all proceeds going towards Kat’s Recovery Fund. Let’s show her some love. ❤️🍝

We’re kicking off Ed Week tomorrow with our pool party at the JW! 😎

Monday we have a trio of classes at Penca, then we’ll wind down on Tuesday with a light brunch and two classes at St. Charles Tavern.

The pool party is FREEEE for all of our industry friends, and Monday and Tuesday are free for members ($10 for non-members).
