Holy Focaccia
First restaurant/wine bar project by Studio BoPA (2025)
WIP
The design is inspired by the European cafe counter and the nostalgia of Italian-American diners found in Long Island. Drawing from the tones of the veneer, and having custom built millwork inspired from the local bakeries of the northeast from the 1960s.
Colors of burgundy and dark warm tones that contrast the warmth of the wood, Studio BoPA plays with a series of contrasting palettes that remind us of a more nostalgic time. An open concept kitchen open to a dine-in counter and across from a standing edge with a mirror that extends the reflection of what is going on in the kitchen.
Construction TBD for 2025

Desert Greenhouse - (Agafay)
A more resilient typology for more precarious vegetation while also acting as a rainwater collector for the greenhouse itself.
Building will also act as a native species hibernator in order to preserve certain plants during the harsher months in order to restablish a more balanced and resilient native landscape in the long-term.
Agafay Farm (2024)

Berber Typology (Concept Phase) 🌿🌾 | A roofline that extends the agricultural layered landscape. Bringing a passive cooling method for the housing module underneath and creating cohesion between the topography and homes. The slivers between the densified modules create shadow and courtyards between the homes on top of the valley.
Shared amenities between these three homes for 8 families. The massing is derived from proportion studies coming from current Berber culture, where shared courtyards and green roofs are used as passive methods of cooling. Including two exterior water catchers for cleaning/drinking.
Communal living spaces between families where privacy could be created through a series Berber curtains that democratize the interior space throughout its use of the day/night. (context people: Berbers portrayed by Jean Constant)

Duo-Torre Oceano:
Competition entry for the Evolo 2018 tower competition in which we use reclaimed wood and ocean plastic as construction material. Due to the high density of ocean waste/plastic, our remolding of the plastic would create both facade and structural compenants to these mixed-used social housing modular blocks.
Ideally, the modulars would be built from 90% repurposed material.
