πŸ’‘ During our first Lunch & Learn, Ron Corbin introduced to the team leaders the foundation to implement the 6S Principles to Continuous Process Improvement and Lean Manufacturing at AGM. Lots more has to come, but we did the first step.

How and Why Manufacturing Uses It

6S manufacturing is an approach to production processes that integrates the 5S principles with safety. It helps implement methodologies to solve critical manufacturing issues.

Safety in manufacturing plays an essential role in determining overall employee productivity. Conducting 6S audits and implementing 6S lean programs can help manufacturing industries to achieve the following:

- advanced waste management and cost reduction;
- reduced machine breakdowns;
high-quality products; and
- effective employee onboarding and 6S training programs.

🎭 The Great Centurions Carnival (A Rio Good Time!) was terrific. The luckiest employees could enjoy the party and their guests.

Fun Facts:

The Carnival in Rio de Janeiro is a festival held every year before Lent. It is considered the biggest carnival in the world, with two million people per day on the streets. The first Carnival festival in Rio occurred in 1723.

Carnival is not just for fun. It is a celebration of the culture and way of life of Brazil. Samba is the most popular form of music and dancing at the Rio carnival. Samba music is often played on drums, and there is lots of traditional dancing.
