Good afternoon everybody, I know today was a big day to reveal results of our carcass contest and the 14 animals that were brought in for it. Unfortunately this morning I was notified that we will need to wait a bit longer. The processor will need a bit more time to get through everything and have our results put together. After talking with Megan Sorenson and getting a timeline figured out we are looking at having the results of our contest next Thursday may 7 th at 6:00 p.m. . I'm sorry for any inconvenience this has caused anyone with their day but unfortunately it's something that we have to work around and I believe it's better to do everything all at once with everyone present. Carcass contest results are set for May 1st 6:00 p.m. at the Central Ag campus. Don't forget, drop off is tomorrow between 1 and 5 pm!

Pima County Beef carcass contest. Drop off April 28 th 1-5 pm. A $500 deposit will be needed, check or card and $15 for Pima County Beef .

Pima County Beef shirts for exhibitors and family shirts that were ordered are available for pickup by the north door of the beef barn.

Winner winner chicken dinner, it's time to put orders in for the lucky wishbone chicken dinner after the show on Thursday! Cost is $12 per additional plate, as exhibitors are free. Please place your orders with Armando Burruel by Wednesday end of day.

Good Afternoon Pima County Beef! Just a reminder, fair set up day is this Saturday the 11th. We need all hands on deck this year with over 130 head in the barn! We have mapped out the barn and would appreciate all the extra hands we can get to set up quickly, safely and effectively! See you there!

Thank you to everyone who came out for the very First Pima County Beef Showdown! Thank you to all the leaders who donated prizes and to everyone who came out to help organize, set up and tear down! The show was a success! Thank you to our extension agents Ashlea and Madison for helping us make this happen! Thank you to Mr Richard McPherson for coming out to judge these kids! We appreciate the feedback and time you were able to give each showman. We are hoping to continue to be able to make this a yearly show for Pima County Kids! Next stop Pima County Fair!!

For those of you with concerns about finding a show opportunity with the cancellation of the stockshow, please mark your calendars for the Pima County Beef Showdown, which will be held on March 28th at the UA Campus Farm. The show will start at 10am, day of registration will begin at 8am and end at 9am. Participation in this event will count toward fulfilling the show requirement for the fair.
