When many people picture mental health challenges, they imagine obvious signs of distress.
But sometimes stress, anxiety, depression, and burnout show up differently.
It might look like irritability.
Withdrawal.
Exhaustion.
Overworking.
Constant distraction.
Feeling emotionally numb.
This Men’s Mental Health Month, we’re encouraging everyone to check in—not just with the men in their lives, but with themselves.
Mental health struggles are common, support is available, and asking for help is a sign of strength.
💚 If you’re struggling, call or text 988 for immediate support, or connect with local mental health resources in our community.

Community partnerships make a difference.
NAMI Southern Arizona was honored to participate in the Tucson Indian Center Men’s Day event, a day focused on honoring Indigenous men through strength, empowerment, wellness, and community connection.
The event brought together community members, speakers, and partner organizations committed to supporting the health and well-being of Indigenous men and their families. We were grateful to share space with organizations including tucson.indian.center, sonora_behavioral_health, tohonooodhamnation Tribal HUD VASH, and other community partners working to connect individuals with valuable resources and support.
From meaningful conversations and resource sharing to inspiring speakers and community engagement, the day highlighted the power of coming together to support one another.
Thank you to Tucson Indian Center for hosting this impactful event and to everyone who stopped by to connect with local services and supports.
Together, we continue building stronger, healthier communities through connection, collaboration, and care. 💙

“It’s not weak to speak.”
For generations, many men have been taught to stay strong, push through, and keep their struggles to themselves.
But strength isn’t pretending everything is okay when it isn’t.
Strength is recognizing when you need support.
Strength is having honest conversations.
Strength is asking for help when life feels overwhelming.
This Men’s Mental Health Awareness Month, we’re reminding the men in our community that their mental health matters too.
Men are often less likely to seek mental health support, yet they experience stress, anxiety, depression, grief, and life’s challenges just like everyone else. Creating space for men to talk openly about what they’re going through can make a meaningful difference.
No one should have to face life’s challenges alone.
At NAMI Southern Arizona, we’re committed to providing education, support, resources, and hope for individuals and families affected by mental health conditions.
If you or someone you care about is struggling, know that support is available and reaching out is a sign of strength—not weakness.

🌈 Pride is more than a celebration—it’s about belonging.
For many LGBTQIA+ people, being seen, accepted, and valued exactly as they are can be life-changing. Pride reminds us that no one should have to earn their place, explain their existence, or hide who they are to feel worthy of connection and support.
At NAMI Southern Arizona, we believe mental health care, community, and compassion should be accessible to everyone. This Pride Month, we honor the strength, resilience, and authenticity of LGBTQIA+ individuals and reaffirm our commitment to creating spaces where everyone can feel safe, supported, and empowered.
You belong. You matter. You are enough—exactly as you are. 💜
