Buenos Dias! This Saturday will be our last book collection! We will be outside of the future Barrio Books space this Saturday 9am-1pm. Come by with any used books to donate. Ahi nos vemos!!

Buenos Dias! Saturdays book collection will be at Cafe Santa Rosa in South Tucson! Please come by and drop off some books and grab a popover while you’re there!

Buenos dias! A reminder about tomorrows book drop off!

Today is Syrena’s 35th Birthday🌻 Feliz Cumpleaños hasta al Cielo, Syrenita. Te extraño un chingo🖤 We would like to celebrate her memory by holding a book drive starting today, her birthday and ending October 4th.

The books collected during this time will continue the mission Syrena envisioned to bring access to BIPOC and cultural representatives literature. Representing and uplifting La Gente de Oro in an unprecedented era we are experiencing.

We have over 500 books currently that we are ready to start finding space for and are hoping to collect more chapter books for youth (middle-high school) and children’s books. This is to start getting books into the community through donation and organization making them accessible in areas needed most.

Our first collection will be this Saturday outside the future La Syrena Barrio Book space.

We are all set up down !!🚲📚 We’ll be here till 3pm with some free sticker, books and activities for kids! We are located at the Mission View Hub in South Tucson!💙

Buenos Dias! We are happy to be apart of hosted by this year!! Our setup will be at the Mission View Hub at the finish line! We are excited to be out with some free libros, activities for kids and an add to community heart strings where you can leave a note on why you love this community!

This is special also because we will bringing out our pop-up bookmobile trailer to have an Ofrenda to honor Syrena. We debuted the pop up trailer at Cyclovia in 2019 and are happy to bring it back into the community!
