SCRAPPY was a yard dog with no official training so he needs a PATIENT owner, someone experienced with his bully breed & willing to put in the time to work with him on training! We don’t have much time as he could be sent back to the E-List at PACC by the 17th! Please reach out if your interested! Scrappy’s new home isn’t working out like we hoped. 😔

He's a nervous dog who is trying hard, but he’s not at all a “plug-and-play in any home” kind of dog. He's been roughed up in his past life. He flinches often. He’s just now discovering play while being boarded with Rachel at The Dog Tribe. He stiffens when he receives affection, as much as he craves it -- even when he initiates it. He is very unsure of his world. He did allow Rachel to trim his nails, and her handling of him is going okay. Scrappy appreciates TLC...he genuinely seems to know that Rachel is trying to take care of him. Nights have been hard for him, but the sedatives help take the edge off.

We’re looking for a special adopter or foster who can understand and help Scrappy. A really special person - one that we hope is out there for him. In absence of finding a good home, we’ll probably be looking at behavior euthanasia.

He was living with other dogs previously and has been nonreactive at Rachel’s. Has potential to live with cats.

Scrappy has already been enrolled in health insurance through Healthy Paw (HOMS will cover the monthly premiums), and HOMS will back his new adopter with training, food, and supplies.

Respectfully, I’ve seen sooo many dogs being walked WITHOUT SHOES and it’s WAY TOO HOT for no protection!!! 🥵 PLEASE come see me @ BARK 'N BERRY for a Pet SHOE FITTING! 🐾 We sell the BEST SHOES for the desert dogs (see photos)!!! They are only $15 per shoe and easy to clean! Even if you don’t grab shoes from us PLEASE put some type of protection on your pups! A fully enclosed shoe is not recommended because dogs need to sweat through their paws and a fully enclosed shoe creates a lil sauna for their feet! 🐾🍦💜
