Hamilton Cox

Hamilton Cox played two shows this weekend. All original with a video that plays all the way through the show and is perfectly synced to the music. People clapped and cheered. So far so good. We will be expanding the show to make 2 hours and we will be selling songs and merch soon.

I have been playing and watching bands play the same covers since the 70s. It’s fun but we need to hear new stuff that gets us on our feet. I hope to be a part of the new stuff.

So Milton and I have spent 50 years (on and off) playing, writing, recording and producing songs together and separately. This coming weekend we will be performing two shows through our new musical concept using backing tracks recorded by Milton and a show long video, edited by Milton and I, while we play guitars and sing 8 of our 50 plus songs dating back as far as 1976. Skip Taylor, manager of Canned Heat and William Morris Agency Rock Division was at our show Sat night at The House Of Bards. He told us he had never seen anything like what we did. He said the video that accompanied the show was excellent. We will open the night at House Of Bards Friday. Be there early if you want to see our show. We will be opening the night for South 40 at On The Rocks Saturday at 8 pm as well. We will be adding songs to our show for upcoming gigs. Each song takes at least a couple dozen hours to create. We want to bring you the best original entertainment experience possible for our friends in our hometown. Eventually we will have merch and audio and video recorded formats availables well. It is a fledgling project, so stay tuned. 

It is so satisfying to play original music especially when people dance clap and scream and then you get paid. That is what happened Friday and Saturday nights for me.

This week starts another chapter in my musical journey.
