A way to help ...
I have been pretty busy covering the aftermath of the deadly July 4 floods in Central Texas. One thing I learned in the last few weeks, Texans will step up and help each other, no questions asked.
Recently, I was able to cover a story about how one local bird supply shop is opening the chance for anyone across the country to contribute to their rock memorial, honoring those who died in the floods.
Feel free to check out my story and learn how you can contribute to the memorial by clicking the link below.

First story in Texas!
One city north of Austin is using Uber as a makeshift transit system, and it turns out, there are other cities that are using a similar approach to help residents get around ... I had the chance to speak with one organization, The Caring Place, and they say 18% of the 11,000 people they help a year rely on transportation to get assistance, like food. They hope Uber can bridge that gap.
It was a fun challenging adopting a new style of shooting and editing, but I'm proud of my first piece for Spectrum News 1 Texas. Check it out!
Georgetown uses Uber as a transit system The popular rideshare app will double as a public transit system.
A fun little behind the scenes for you this Friday! I was just practicing, but I’ll be sharing more on my first story in Austin next week. Have a great weekend everyone!

A bit of news …
Today was my last day working at KOLD News 13. These past two years have been a roller coaster, from adjusting to the “real world” right after undergrad, to learning how to be a better storyteller every day. Starting my career and life as an adult in Tucson wasn’t easy, but boy, I have no regrets.
Thank you to all of my coworkers at the station for putting up with my loud personality, but for helping me grow. And a big thanks to all of you for allowing me to share your stories over the past two years.
Muchas gracias, Arizona.
