These two does are available for brush clearing. Both healthy, one still in milk but drying off. They didn't make the cut for our dairy herd. Clean tested, located in Sweet Home Oregon. PM for info.

This wee gal is one of our newest herd members.
Introducing Bella Luna Hays ZW "Jet".
Do I already own two of her cousins? Yes.
Am I hoarding spectacular milking genetics in a gorgeous package?
Yes, yes I am....lol

I could use some guidance. This doe delivered 3 days ago....she has the tiniest udder I've ever worked with, and I assumed, hopefully, as a FF, that her milk would really start to come in after she ran through her colostrum. Except it didn't. She barely has enough colostrum for her kids. I know they got enough to start their digestive systems, but barely. By today all 3 kids had hollowed out sides, were nursing as often as possible and obviously not getting more than a few drops. I got her on the stand, and there is almost nothing in her udder.

We are a disease tested herd with zero mineral deficiency, and no history of parasite loads. On pasture, quality alfalfa, clean well water, etc.
Our other does are all producing within normal to high capacity.

In my herd, the inability to produce milk at this level qualifies as a terminal cull.

Before I come to that, are there conditions that might cause an inability to produce milk?
Anything that could be mitigated?
Anything I may have overlooked?

Finally getting a system down that is less time consuming. I have tiny cactus hairs in both hands, arms, and my belly.
I can't get over this color. Not sure how many gallons we'll end up with. We're gonna be squeezing these things for days 😂
