Majority Finn

We didn’t fall off the edge of the earth, but we did move here in January! We are in Finland until July and have been busy enjoying family, friends, food, saunas and all of the things. The boys are in school, and who can believe that one of the best education systems in the happiest country in the world is still boring. 🤭 Don’t worry they are thriving and maybe learning a thing or two.

We really enjoyed playing for students and families at San Diego’s Suomi Koulu! So fun for us to play for a younger audience.

Pasi, Meg, Olavi and Ansel play Finnish-American music from 1920s to today in Finnish and in English. They are touring West Coast this fall, playing J. Karjalainen, Padding Somerjoki, Yölintu, traditional folk songs, kids songs, originals... and more!

Enjoy a cup of coffee, some traditional Finnish treats, purchase Finnish candy and… dance! 💃🕺

The event is FREE and will take 30-45 min.

We’ve been on the West Coast for over a week already and have been busy! Thanks to our Finnish friends in Seattle for organizing an event and hosting us.

We were also warmly welcomed in Naselle, WA which is home to a longstanding Finnish American community. Our hosts were fantastic and organize the Finnish American Folk Festival of Naselle every other summer. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and can’t wait to come back.

Hello Pacific Northwest! After 2,200 miles we are so excited to be here.
