Class #426 recently completed spinal immobilization training during a simulated MVC scenario. Recruits practiced patient assessment, stabilization techniques, and coordinated response skills while working through high-pressure emergency situations.
Training like this builds proficiency and reinforces the skills needed for effective patient care in the field.

Things started off simple, but the challenge quickly ramped up as crews worked through victim rescue scenarios and navigated simulated disorientation conditions. From problem solving under pressure to sharpening critical fireground skills, the training kept everyone on their toes. The day wrapped up with Truck 23 leading a top side ventilation orientation, adding another valuable tool to the toolbox. 🚒🔥

The classes “Aggressive Search” and “Everything Saws for the Fire Service” were hosted in DeKalb and provided members with hands-on training aimed at enhancing operational efficiency, refining search techniques, and improving tool familiarity during fireground operations. Both courses focused on practical skill development and real-world application in high-risk environments.
Participation also included “The Grab Factory Hot Class” in Marietta, where advanced live-fire training was conducted to further develop rescue capabilities and overall fireground proficiency.

This hands on evolution gave recruits a close up look at fire behavior, ventilation, and how quickly conditions can change on the fire ground, all critical skills for the next generation of firefighters.
