As a professional organizer, artist & collector, this quote hits me as a hard reality. We ALL spend so much time accumulating stuff, rationalizing our accumulations and eventually, attempting to "downsize" our accumulations based on our emotional connection (Do you LOVE this THING - does it bring you JOY?). I personally acknowledge that my stuff brings me joy & comfort - and I struggle with this concept on a regular basis. Connection to the physical world is truly an ongoing, never ending human dilemma.
