Trumann Sr./Jr. High Track and Field

4A state track meet is in the books and it was a good one!!

We qualified 3 members in individual events!

Chelsy Jones:
high jump- 7th place!
Long jump-9th place! (New PR)

Lynlee Correa:
Triple jump- 10th place! (This seasons best jump)

Brandon Dohm:
110 hurdles- 3rd place (new PR and medaled)
200m Dash- 13th place

This was an awesome meet and we left it all out! Had our athletes pr and set season best in several events! The 3rd place finish in the 110 earned Brandon Dohm a medal! Very few athletes ever get the chance to hold these medals as their own! Pictures are of the events and meet. I apologize that we didn’t have a good one of Chelsy high jumping.

We have had some stand out athletes this year!! Brandon Dohm, Lynlee Correa, and Chelsy Jones have broken school records this year! Some records and accomplishments are as follows

Both athletes have competed extremely well this year and hope to finish it off strong at our conference meet next week! Congrats to these 3 athletes and the acompilshments!

GCT 7th Grade Glenn Sain Eagle Relays (FULL) 2025 - Meet Results MileSplits official results list for the 2025 GCT 7th Grade Glenn Sain Eagle Relays (FULL), hosted by Greene County Tech in Paragould AR.

Winner Winner!!! The 7th Grade showed out last night at GCT! Girls and Boys competed very well but the highlight of the night was the Boys winning the meet! The competition at this meet was some of the best in NEA with most of the schools being 6-5A schools and powerhouses at track. These CATS who have never seen a track before nor been to a meet won against all of these schools. We had some great individual accolades as well as JC Campbell won the High point award for boys by being the best boy athlete there in total points. I cant tell you how proud I am of them and where they will go! If you see any of the 7th grade track team today tell them congrats! (not pictured is Devin Martinez)

Here is our Sr. and Jr. High (7th grade included in jr high) practice schedule. Feb 11- 21 is mandatory attendance conditioning practice. We will be working on getting into track shape so all athletes will be working out together to work on their cardio vascular endurance and get them into the shape required by track. Once we make it through those two weeks we will have individual practice in which they will work on particular events that I believe they will be successful at. We will split between Sr. High and Jr. High practices and in hopes to better their abilities in smaller groups to work towards our goals in this track season. We will have a busy March and April with meets and practices. A noted time frame I want to make 7th grade track aware of is the meet we have on Monday April 7th. I will provide more information about that when I get it but go ahead and mark your calendars.

It's almost that time of year!! Track Season is fast approaching and I am happy to say that we have added more meets this year. We have a total of 3 7th grade meets, 4 Jr. High meets, and 6 (not including state) Sr. High meets. It should be a great year! GO WILDCATS

Not every school gets the opportunity to go to the state championship track meet and compete against the best in 4A. We were able to bring 8 track athletes to compete in several events! We had a solid day and improved in several personal records! So proud of this team and their commitment to this sport! Good things are coming and keep an eye out for us wildcats next year!
