The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division is pleased to report the successful resolution of a nuisance property located at 536 Smith Street.

The structure had become vacant, dilapidated, and was in a state of significant disrepair. Following inspection and review, condemnation proceedings were initiated, and the Trumann City Council subsequently voted to condemn the structure due to its condition.

We are pleased to announce that the property owner was fully cooperative throughout the process and voluntarily razed and removed the structure, bringing the property into compliance.

The Trumann Police Department Code Enforcement Division appreciates property owners who take responsibility for maintaining their properties and work with the City to address nuisance conditions. Cooperative efforts such as this help improve neighborhood safety, enhance property values, and contribute to the overall appearance and quality of life in our community.

We thank the owner for their prompt action and commitment to improving the property.

Together, we can continue to keep Trumann a safer, cleaner, and more attractive place to live.

🚔 CLICK IT OR TICKET 🚔

May 18 – May 31, 2026

The Trumann Police Department is joining law enforcement agencies across the nation for the annual “Click It or Ticket” seat belt enforcement campaign ahead of Memorial Day weekend.

Seat belts save lives — it’s that simple.

In 2024, nearly 10,000 unbuckled vehicle occupants lost their lives in crashes nationwide. While most drivers buckle up, too many still take the risk. Officers will be increasing enforcement day and night to help keep everyone safe on our roads.

✅ Wear your seat belt correctly:
• Shoulder belt across your chest — NOT under your arm or behind your back

• Lap belt low across your hips — NOT your stomach

• Everyone buckles up — front seat and back seat

“Seat belt use should be an automatic habit for drivers and passengers alike,” said Captain Gary W. Henry Sr. “Not buckling up could mean a ticket, or worse, risking a life.”
Remember:

💥 Buckle Up Every Trip, Every Time
