This is my latest composition I wrote and it it hits home with me. I titled it "My life is Dead" meaning, my life has no meaning. It's about a subject that is very real..... Depression. So many people fight this disease everyday and some lose the battle to it. My mother was diagnosed with manic depression and schizophrenia, and she took her own life because of it.

This piece has four movements that represent the stages someone goes through with severe depression. The first movement "Darkness Grows" is depression taking over the mind and body a little more each day, getting worse little by little. Movement two is " Feeling's of Hopelessness" is the feeling that nothing is ever going to get any better in life, nothing really matters anymore.

The third movement is "The Last Note" which is essentially a goodbye letter that is left explaining why your about to do what you are going to do. The final movement number four " Farewell World" is the act of taking their own life. This is a sad subject, but a very real subject. People live with this disease and it's awful, and also a selfish act. I forgive my mother for doing what she done, but it's a hurt that never goes away, I hope no one ever has to go through losing a loved one to Depression. But I'll be making a video soon and posting it.

What to expect when taking piano lessons. First of all, there's more to it than you think. If you think that "there's nothing to it", "I'll be playing like a pro in a couple of weeks",Think again lol. You have to learn the basics first, notes, note meanings, music notation, music theory, so on and so forth.
You have to have an understanding of what your playing before you can evolve into a skilled pianist. It can be frustrating, but frustration will always be there even if your the best pianist in the world.

But it can be conquered with practice and dedication. Learning the piano is something you have to want and be willing to put in the time it takes to learn it efficiently, but the rewards you receive from all your hard work, will definitely be worth it. I remember when I attended Arkansas state University, we would sit in a room with a Piano and practice hour upon hour, but I studied and practiced really hard, I was very dedicated.

I remember my professor (who's in heaven now, God bless him) Dr. Kelley, I loved him so much, but he knew I worked really hard at the piano. He said we're going to put you in piano competitions at Arkansas state University. Top prize of $15000, 2nd place $10000 3rd $5000, just an example of how hard work can have rewards.

What I'm trying to say is, I know people can get overwhelmed when they find out how much there is to learn when it comes to music, but it's so rewarding when you put in the effort it takes. This story kinda freaks me out lol. Ok, I had dream a couple of weeks ago that I was someone famous. In my dream all I remember is the insane roar of a crowd of people cheering for me to come out into from what I remember in my dream was an old theatre or cathedral type place with balconies of people, like you would see at an opera house.
The people were clapping and cheering for me to come out, and I remember seeing a piano on stage and I remember I wouldn't go out and play until my father arrived. And I remember looking down at what I was wearing,....a absolutely beautiful red velvet like coat with ruffles.

And when I woke up I couldn't believe how real that dream was to me, and how much I felt the love of the crowd cheering for me. And I remembered the red coat I was wearing for the concert I was about to perform at when my father arrived lol. I tried Google searching the red coat of old famous composers because I believe in past lives. I couldn't find anything until about 2 weeks ago I seen this red coat and it instantly clicked in my brain..... THAT'S IT!!! I looked to see whom it belonged to, and my jaw dropped..... because it belonged to Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart!! I'm too humble to even think I could've been Mozart in a past life, but it's very strange that I was definitely wearing the coat below in my dream. I don't know but I thought it was cool to have a dream with a little possibility that I could've been a famous person in a past life. But then again it could've been nothing, but I thought I would share this story with everyone lol. Thanks for reading.....
