SPIRE AT 25 SPOTLIGHT | Brad Slamans, Director of Technology
Ten years ago, Brad Slamans was searching for the best Savant dealers in Michigan. After interviewing with Spire, he knew immediately it was where he wanted to build his career.
Since then, Brad has helped lead some of Spire’s most ambitious residential and multi-unit projects. But the moments that stand out most are not defined only by their size or complexity. They are the moments when the entire team comes together.

For Brad, that teamwork reflects what makes Spire different. It is a close-knit company that thinks beyond the next project or the next year. Decisions are made with the belief that Spire is building something meant to endure.

This year marks a major milestone for Spire.
25 Years of Building What Lasts.
What started in a small apartment with two employees, one truck, and a vision has grown into something far greater than we ever imagined.
Over the next several months, we’ll be sharing the people, projects, partnerships, stories, and moments that shaped Spire along the way.
The homes.
The craftsmanship.
The technology.
The relationships.
The team.
The belief that doing the right thing still matters.
Most of all, we’ll celebrate the clients, partners, architects, designers, builders, and team members who trusted us to help create extraordinary spaces over the past 25 years.
This isn’t just a milestone.
It’s a season of gratitude, reflection, and looking ahead toward what’s next.

Congratulations to Jill Schumacher and the team at Randen Schumacher Mio Interior Design on their stunning feature in Detroit Design Magazine Spring 2026 — and what a feature it is.
This Franklin home is a masterclass in restraint and intention. Colorado mountain influences, 24-foot ceilings, reclaimed barnwood, regionaly sourced limestone — every material chosen to earn its place. The result is a home that feels grounded, warm, and completely alive.
It was an honor to be part of the team bringing this home to life. When designers lead with this level of vision, our job is to make the technology disappear into it — seamlessly and invisibly supporting every experience the space is designed to create.
