Juneteenth serves as a day of celebration, reflection, and education. It is widely recognized as a pivotal moment in American history for the entire nation. It is an opportunity to honor the resilience of African Americans, acknowledge the lingering impacts of slavery, and recommit to the ongoing pursuit of civil rights and equality.
Today, we celebrate the progress that has been made, and acknowledge the vast work that remains to be done.

This month, the Therapy Collaborative Book Club is reading This Book Is Gay, in honor of PRIDE month! This book is ranked in the top 10 most challenged books in America, according to the American Library Association, so you know it is a great resource and full of helpful, accurate and non-shaming information. In a world where more than 40% of LGBTQ+ youth seriously consider attempting su***de, it is more important than ever that mental health professionals are equipped to provide high quality, informed and compassionate care to everyone. We are looking forward to reading this and being able to share it with clients!
