Well that’s a wrap for the 2024 The Ohio National Show! What a fun weekend! Awards this morning- Reserve Champion Turkey in the Open Show with one of my Royal Palm Toms.
Onto Morehead, KY next weekend for a show! ♥️

With Halloween coming to an end this week, we will gladly take your left over pumpkins for our chickens & pigs! Just please no painted pumpkins! 🐓🎃🐷
They make excellent treats but also have medicinal value!
Did you know they contain cucurbitin, an amino acid that acts as a natural de-worming agent by paralyzing tapeworms and other intestinal parasites?
Did you also know the use of pumpkins in animal feed can improve the quality of meat, milk, and eggs due to their high content of antioxidants in the of pulp and peel.

Gambyll did great this weekend at the Dayton Fancy Feather Club! Jake Turkey got Best Turkey both shows! Silkies all did great too- guess that means we aren’t narrowing down the silkies quite yet 🤦🏽‍♀️ he wants to use them all for breeding now. I’m so glad he loves doing this- warms my heart to see him so happy and enjoying it so much! He’s learning a lot and his goal is to be the best Paint Silkie breeder 🖤🤍 I know he can do it! 🥰

A few weeks ago, Gambyll sold a Silkie chick to a lady where she’s having her as a house chicken! 🏠🐥 He got some updated pictures today! She’s enjoying her bed and her new buddy! 🐥🐶🖤
