We had a room full of new students and parents on the first day of IMPACT! And they had all attended Geo Day 😊Four Surveying and Geomatics Sciences majors and one Geographic Information Sciences major. We look forward to seeing them jump right into life at Troy and in our department in the fall. Hope to see that many more tomorrow!

Our students and alumni have been with Troy Baseball all year and are still pulling for them to beat the Trojans so badly they will know that this spot on the map belongs to the TROY Trojans!

We want to congratulate Justin Hall (right) on receiving his license as a professional surveyor. He has worked very hard, passing multiple exams since graduating from Troy with a Surveying and Geomatics Sciences degree. He is a member of the team at PLS Group, Inc. and he has certainly made our faculty proud.

We started June off with a blast today. After Dr. Ramroop told IMPACT leaders about our department and its programs, faculty hosted sessions for the Wiregrass JROTC STEM Leadership Academy. Dr. Niu did a drone flight then the groups learned about geospatial applications in our computer lab and GIS down the hall.

We are getting ready for Troy University Admissions IMPACT sessions to begin on June 8th. It is always nice to see new students who are excited to come to Troy. We enjoy showing those who want to be become surveyors or GIS professionals all our technology and our little corner of the campus in Wallace Hall. It is not too late to sign up for IMPACT if you are planning to start at Troy in the fall. There are still sessions open in July for freshmen and both transfer sessions still have space.
