Today we’re celebrating the guys who throw the ball even when their arm is tired, share their snacks (whether they’re supposed to or not), give the best belly rubs, and somehow always know exactly where the treats are hidden.

My Daddy Boy puts up with my squirrel alerts, my quality control inspections, and my occasional need to take up 97% of the bed. For that, he deserves extra treats today… and maybe a nap snuggled up with me.

To all the dads, stepdads, grandpas, bonus dads, and dog dads who love us with their whole hearts, thank you for being our favorite adventure buddies, protectors, snack providers, and best friends.

I’ve been very busy on my camping adventure conducting important snack research. By “research,” I mean sharing my Kobe Cakes Barkolis with all my camping buddies and making sure they met my very strict standards.

The results? Every single crumb was a hit. 🐶❤️

From polite little nibbles to full-on “excuse me, can I have another?” faces, my friends gave these crunchy cannoli-inspired treats two paws up. I even shared with a few new pals because good treats are meant to be shared… most of the time. 😏

Nothing makes my fluffy little heart happier than seeing dogs enjoying treats made with simple ingredients and lots of love.

Now if you’ll excuse me, I have more camping duties to attend to:

✅ Repeat

Good morning, friends!

I had my annual quality control inspection with Dr. T at Trinity Oaks Pet Wellness Center today.

The verdict? Basically perfect. 😎

Ears? Excellent.
Teeth? Sparkly.
Heart? Full of love (and probably treats).
Overall health? Top tier.

The only problem? I think their scale is broken.

It claimed I weigh way more than 5 pounds. 🤔

Now, I may not be a veterinarian, but I am an expert in making myself at home on any couch, and I can confidently say I’m a tiny little lap dog. The evidence is overwhelming. Just ask my pawrents when I attempt to sit directly on them.

Anyway, Dr. T says I’m healthy, happy, and ready to continue my very important duties as Head Taste Tester, Inventory Supervisor, and Chief Eating Officer at Kobe Cakes.

I’d call that a successful morning. 🐾

Late post because I’ve been very busy today, but one year ago today, my humans made one of the best decisions of their lives.

They got me. 🐾

In the last 365 days, I’ve worked very hard training them. They now understand the importance of proper treat distribution, morning snuggles, squirrel monitoring, and butt scratches.

We’ve celebrated birthdays, gone camping, made thousands of treats, met so many amazing pups, and built Kobe Cakes into something bigger than my wildest German Shepherd dreams.

I’ve chased lizards, supervised baking, protected inventory from suspicious snack thieves, and collected enough belly rubs to last at least another week.

Even though mom was in the kitchen making “Etsy orders” all day she still made sure I celebrated with a blueberry oat cake topped with blueberry’s and a crunchy 1 on top!

But my favorite part of this year hasn’t been the pupcakes, the adventures, or even the treats (and that’s saying a lot).

It’s been finding my family. ❤️

To my mom, dad, and everyone who follows along with my adventures, thank you for loving me, supporting my bakery dreams, and making every day feel like a gotcha day.
