America250 Reading Challenge Book Spotlight πŸ“šπŸ‡ΊπŸ‡Έ

This week's featured title is "The Rediscovery of America: Native Peoples and the Unmaking of U.S. History" by Ned Blackhawk.

What if the story of America isn't quite the one you learned in school?

In this thought-provoking book, historian Ned Blackhawk challenges traditional accounts of U.S. history by placing Native peoples at the center of the American story. Rather than viewing Indigenous communities as bystanders or obstacles, Blackhawk reveals how Native nations played a vital role in colonial survival, westward expansion, and the development of American law and government.

Discover a fresh perspective on the people, events, and decisions that shaped our nation.
The America250 Reading Challenge is a year-long journey through books that explore the people, places, and events that have influenced America's story over the past 250 years.
Stop by the library to learn more about the challenge and pick up your next great read!
