Hey cycling friends. I’m down here in Frankfort helping set up for the 70.3 Ironman and the volunteer coordinator is looking for some good folks to help drive SAG vehicles. I told her I’d put the word out. You will be driving a vehicle provided by the event on the bike course or sections of the bike course from 7:30 am until 2:30 pm. They are looking for 4 volunteers. We regret to announce the cancellation of Cherry Roubaix for 2021.

Although there has been some great news on the pandemic front and the lifting of restrictions, to run the Cherry Roubaix properly requires considerable time and logistics that are simply not possible for Summer 2021. To be blunt, we are unwilling to run a race that sacrifices safety or experience because we rushed details.

Nonetheless, get outside, be safe and of good cheer, ride like the wind, and know that we will bring back our favorite road race in 2022, better and stronger than ever before.

The 2020 Cherry Roubaix has been canceled.

It is with a heavy heart that I type this.

First, I want to say we are giving full refunds for anyone that has already signed up… OR... we will roll your registration over to next year.

Sorry it took us so long to get this information to you. We had honestly been trying to come up with a format that would allow us to still hold the event and to allow for appropriate social distancing rules. We even played around with the idea of a Time Trial style event with assigned start times but ultimately we were not able to obtain insurance for the event and not able to ensure the safety of our participants.
