Interesting to look at how flat of a trend it was to start and then in 2005 something changed.

Solar started taking off across the country and the profits of utility companies started to drop thus everyone left on the grid was forced to pay higher rates to maintain and keep profits going.

and the rates started to rise every year with no end in sight because more and more people are switching to solar with no end in sight.

The death spiral for the utility will continue and those left on the grid will bear the brunt of relying on 100% of their electricity from the grid.

The state of Michigan right now has a residential state average per kWh rate of 19.26 cents as of JUNE 2023

In JUNE of 2003, the state average was .... 8.59 cents.

What does that mean?

That means that your electricity for the average small usage home of 6,000kwh per year cost goes from $515 per year

To $1,155 !!!

That is a 224% increase in a short 20 years.

What do you think will happen in the next 20 years?!
