Against all odds, TC Tritons Rowing delivered on the national stage. 💪🚣‍♀️🚣‍♂️

After battling flooding, extreme winds, and two full weeks off the water before Nationals, the Tritons traveled to Oak Ridge, Tennessee and earned TWO top-10 finishes at the Scholastic Rowing Association of America National Championship Regatta.

🏅 Women’s Junior Double
Sylvia Coulter & Audrina Conrad (Traverse City Central) finished 7th in the nation, just 0.2 seconds from 6th place after an official video review.

🏅 Men’s Senior Double
Spencer Payne & Theo Jocks (Traverse City Central) placed 10th nationally, missing 9th by only 0.07 seconds in another photo finish.

The Tritons qualified through the highly competitive Midwest Regional Championship, where only the top two crews in each event advance to Nationals.

“Our athletes showed up ready to prove themselves and rowed like they hadn’t taken a day off,” said Head Coach Chris Bott.

In a sport measured by tenths of a second, these athletes showed incredible resilience, grit, and determination every stroke of the way.

Congratulations to Sylvia, Audrina, Spencer, Theo, and the entire TC Tritons program on an unforgettable season! 🔱
