Earthy Delights: Wild-harvested, Traditional and Artisanal Foods
Earthy Delights provides wild-harvested and gourmet foods to culinary professionals and adventurous cooks.

Over 30 years ago, the company now known as Earthy Delights began in the early days of the wild food movement.
In 1986, a group of wild food enthusiasts in East Lansing, Michigan, created a co-op to sell edible flowers, wild mushrooms, cattail shoots and other wild-harvested foods to local restaurants and diners. Over the next three decades, the company grew and evolved, adding an extensive selection of exotic and specialty foods to the lineup.
Through the years, Earthy Delights remained dedicated to those original ideals of providing unique, high quality specialty products with an emphasis on wild-harvested, traditional and artisanal foods.
Recently, it's become more and more difficult to operate a small business in a highly competitive environment dominated by corporations offering products at lower cost, although not always of the same high quality. We are now at a point where we need to reconfigure our operations, review our product offerings, make some significant adjustments, and strategically align ourselves with new market trends. As we wind down specific product categories and individual skus, we are diligently reviewing new ways to service our vendor customer networks. As we work through these steps, we ask our loyal customer base for a little bit of grace and patience while we adjust.
We thank you for all your support over the years and look forward to serving you again very soon.

The Tamarack Family of food businesses was honored to host a visit from Governor Gretchen Whitmer on Wednesday. It was a pleasure to show her the incredible variety of cultivated and wild foods produced in our state and to emphasize the importance of state government and local food suppliers working together to support independent Michigan farmers, foragers and food producers. The Governor was so impressed by our gorgeous wild chanterelle mushrooms that we sent some home with her, along with a dozen or so recipes.

FRESH WILD MORELS FOR MOTHER'S DAY!
The US morel season has not been very productive so far this year, but fortunately, we've managed to secure some fresh wild European morels just in time for Mother's Day!
These imported morels are a mix of conicas and blondes and look and taste just like those harvested here in North America. Ranging in size from about 1- 3 inches in length, they can be used exactly like domestic foraged morels.
