✨ Introducing our Employee of the Month: Katie!! ✨
We’re so excited to celebrate our newest team member, Katie, as our Employee of the Month! 💛
From the moment she joined us, Katie has brought an incredible attitude, a strong work ethic, and a smile that brightens every room she walks into. She’s always ready to jump in wherever she’s needed, lend a helping hand, and tackle each day with kindness and enthusiasm.
Her positivity is contagious, her dedication never goes unnoticed, and our patients, clients, and team are all better because she’s here. We truly couldn’t ask for a sweeter addition to the Swamp Rabbit family.
Congratulations, Katie! We’re so incredibly lucky to have your sunshine on our team. ☀️🐾

☀️ Summer Safety Reminder for Your Pets 🐾
The sunshine is fun… until it isn’t.
As temperatures climb, here are a few simple ways to help keep your furry family members safe this summer:
🌡️ Skip the midday walks. Early mornings and evenings are much cooler and easier on your pet.
🐾 Test the pavement first. If it’s too hot to comfortably hold your hand on for 7 seconds, it’s too hot for sensitive paws.
💧 Hydration is key. Always make sure your pet has access to fresh, cool water and shade when they’re outside.
🚗 Never leave pets in a parked car. Even with the windows cracked, temperatures can become dangerous in just minutes.
😎 Watch for signs of overheating. Excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting, or collapse are all emergencies that require immediate veterinary attention.
Summer is better when everyone stays safe—including our four-legged friends. Stay cool out there! 💙

It looks like some important business is being discussed around here. 🐾
Just a friendly reminder that Swamp Rabbit Animal Hospital will be closed tomorrow, June 12th.
We’ll be back on Monday and look forward to seeing all of our amazing patients and their families then!
Have the most wonderful weekend, and we’ll see you soon. 💙

🍩 Happy National Donut Day! 🍩
Today we’re celebrating one of life’s greatest inventions: donuts.
Our animals would like to remind everyone that while donuts are a treat for humans, they should stay off the menu for pets. (Trust us, they’ve already asked. Repeatedly.)
So enjoy a donut and try not to make eye contact with any of your pets while you’re eating it. 👀🐾
Happy National Donut Day from all of us at Swamp Rabbit Animal Hospital! ❤️
Thanks Jenny from Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health USA Inc. for the donuts. 🥰
🌞 Spring vibes at Swamp Rabbit Animal Hospital! 🌿
Nothing beats a beautiful spring day with my favorite little troublemaker, Tails the goat! 🐐💕 This little guy decided my shoulders were the perfect perch for today’s adventures.
From curious nibbles to full-on zoomies on my back, he kept me smiling the whole time!
Dr. Sam reporting in — heart full, shirt possibly covered in goat hair and dirt, but 100% worth it. 😄

Most veterinary hospitals post their best moments. We’re trying something different today.
In an effort to be transparent, we’d like to share what veterinary medicine actually looks like behind the scenes.
We considered deleting these. Instead, we’re sharing them.
A few of these need explanations. A few somehow get worse with context.
